For an efficient and pleasant learning experience, the French Academy of Orange County uses ZOOM for virtual one-on-one tutoring sessions.
The small group classes will help you successfully meet your aspirations irrespective of your level of French.
Beginners Level One
In this course you will learn to express yourself in basic French using useful vocabulary, present tense verbs, articles and adjectives. You will practice speaking French and will reach a sustainable level of proficiency in no time.
A2 Level
Reinforce and practice your speaking skills in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
French for Travelers
The Bon Voyage Crash Course will get you feeling confident enough in two weeks to order a meal, buy your morning croissant and much more in four 90 minute sessions.
Bon Appetit: Monthly French Cooking Workshops
Learn how to prepare fine French food in this interactive cooking class. You’ll make classic French dishes and learn key French cooking techniques as you prepare the meal together.
All the ingredients are bought prior to your arrival. Whether you wish to simply observe or actively participate, you will learn essential culinary-related words, phrases, techniques and cultural elements, sample eclectic , home-made, authentic French-flavored food, and have a ball among your fellow francophiles.
Adhering to the tradition of using only the freshest ingredients, I am not able to tell you now what we will make. That’s part of the discovery we will collectively take part in. If you wish to be like Julia Child for a few hours and experience this “aventure,” please reserve your spot on Calendly early because there are only 14 spots available per month.
Free Cine-Club
I am introducing my monthly Movie Club where we watch a French movie with English subtitles at our own leisure first and have a lively discussion at a predetermined time and date later. You can join in person or via Zoom; and it is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the language and culture in addition to the formal lessons I give. Please register no later than 3 days before our Zoom meeting
